The Jackson family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit alleging that AEG is to blame for the death of Michael Jackson. According to a report on California Injury Blog, the lawsuit alleges that the Jackson family believes AIG put profits over Michael Jackson's safety and health. When interviewed by TMZ, Katherine Jackson said that there is no judicial resolution that could be reached with Dr. Conrad Murray or AEG that will bring her peace.
The complaint filed by the Jackson family personal injury lawyer accuses AIG of failing to provide lifesaving equipment, which was apparently part of an agreement AIG did not honor.
AIG called the lawsuit "unsubstantiated and meritless." AIG said that they did not choose or hire Jackson physician, Dr. Murray who allegedly provided Jackson with drugs that may have caused his death.
